sun burned back with help written in sunscreen

Summer is here! We hope you’ll enjoy the perks of living at The Woodlands by spending some time sitting by our pool. However, we want you to remember how important it is to protect yourself from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

Everyone should wear sunscreen, even if they already have a base tan. Although some people might not burn easily in the sun, no one is exempt from skin damage. When you don’t wear sunscreen, you pose risks for yourself, such as:

  • Sunburn
  • Dry, wrinkled skin over time
  • Bruising more easily due to damaged/weakened skin
  • Skin cancer
  • Sun poisoning

To avoid these risks, it’s important to apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before heading out into the sun. Remember to reapply it every two hours, or more often if you are sweating or swimming.

We hope to see you out by the pool this summer, but remember to follow these tips to protect your skin!
